The Anthonys meet Honest Abe

The Anthonys meet Abraham Lincoln in Sapulpa.

The four Anthony girls took a lot of road trips in 1988, met a lot of people, and passed out a lot of stickers and brochures.  And although as time goes by, memory blurs faces and places, one thing about the 1988 campaign stands out clearly -- the food!  Besides being some of the friendliest people in the world, Oklahomans also happen to be some of the most generous, and the Anthony girls benefited immensely from the many goodies offered to them at various campaign events across the state.  The moon pies, waffle cakes, snow cones, barbequed ribs, homemade pies and ice creams, as well as hundreds of cookies and brownies will forever be remembered with gratitude for hitting the spot just when they were needed most.  Thanks, Oklahoma!
